Powder coating has long been known for its ability to make coated parts impervious to the elements while offering aesthetically pleasing otions. At Ace Anodizing we understand that the durability of the coating is only as good as the application method. That’s why this fabricator came to us with this large scale powder coating project. The components, which were fabricated from aluminum, were to spend their service life on a visible building interior as part of the environmental controls system.

The customer had specific requirements for the coating, such as the application of a chromate corrosion pre-treatment and a fluro-polymer custom color, all of which were necessary to guarantee the coatings performance and meet the design requirments. They also had specific requirements for packaging to protect the parts through shipping and rigging to the job site installation. Our ability to powder coat and oven cure large parts allowed us to powder coat each of the forty 120″ x 34″, formed aluminum sections and related components in five days.
