Architectural Class I Anodizing for a Custom Building Exterior
An architectural company approached Ace Anodizing for the anodizing of a revolving door assembly for a custom construction project. The components composed of extruded 6063-T6 aluminum, measured up to 282” in length and 5’ in diameter, and required a bronze finish. Special requirements called for no visible rack marks or run off, meaning that all parts must have a uniform unobstructed finish.
We decided on a two-step electrolytic anodizing process with integral coloring and an architectural seal to protect the finish, and provide lightfast characteristics in heavy traffic areas. The 2,000 finished pieces where fully sealed and packaged to the customers’ specifications and shipped within five days of order acceptance.
